Since the iPhone’s release and unprecedented success, many new cars now include close integration with iPhones, iPads and iPods. However, this integration has always been both difficult and expensive to retrofit into older cars, and because of this, very few have bothered to opt for these options. There are of course alternatives to upgrading your car to allow integration with the iPhone, most of these focusing on unsightly FM transmitters that provide meager sound quality and poor overall implementations. The Dension car dock on the other hand, provides an All-In-One solution that is neither unslightly or poorly implemented, providing a unique solution to a difficult problem with a beautiful, functional device.

Jawbone is a company that, for the last decade or so has been bringing some of the most innovative products to the bluetooth headset market. Their incredible design and jaw-dropping (no pun intended) noise cancellation technology has made them the headset manufacturer of choice for nearly every user of the iPhone. Eager to further their reputation into other fields, Jawbone have created the JAMBOX, a tiny, wireless bluetooth speaker whose looks are both beautiful and deceiving. From the miniscule size of the device, most expect a miniscule sound, but when the volume is turned to max, the JAMBOX shocks everyone listening to it by delivering clean, crisp sound at an unbelievable volume.

Razer, as many of you will know from some of our previous reviews, is a gaming company that specialises in PC accessories. But with the recent rise of Mac gaming, they have strived to make many of their products Mac compatible, proudly displaying their “Mac + PC” badge on many of their mini-websites. But on some of those mini-websites you won’t see such a badge, and one such site is that of the Megalodon. But if Razer aren’t even claiming Mac compatibilty, then why review the product on Apple-Review? Well, even without full support or even a full feature list, the Megalodon is still a fantastic set of headphones.

The Studio Beats by Dr. Dre have been around for a few years now, their introduction causing a huge stir in the music device industry, something had come along that had boasted best in class in both looks and performance. But fast forward a couple of years and is the device, essentially left unchanged (bar a new audio cable included) still a class leader? Well its very hard to say, with their being stiff competition often coming in at a lower price margin with sometime even better quality sound, but the Beats are still miles ahead in the design department, meaning we aren’t even close to the dethroning of the Beats just yet.

Our recently acquired love of data heavy movies, music and applications has led to a onslaught of new external hard drives, aimed not at those still living in their mother’s basements and needing more space for their expansive collection of digital comics, but at the normal, design conscious consumer. For a product to survive in such a competitive market, it has to offer either stand out features or a stand out price. G-Technology’s G-Drive Mobile seeks to showcase the very best in design, taking obvious design cues from Apple, and creating a product that looks out of place next to anything but an Apple computer.

iPod and iPhone speakers have been incredibly popular singe the introduction of the very first iPod. However, there was always a trade off between portability and quality, the choice that had to be made was between being able to carry the device around and achieving deep lows and crisp highs that can only be produced with the highest quality array of speakers. The S715i is the first device to truly eliminate the trade off in a big way. Its reasonably small form factor and the removal of any reliance on dock adapters, as well as its impressive battery life make it a truly portable sound system, and its array of eight super high quality and custom designed speakers make the sound it produces truly jaw dropping.

Card Readers have always been a vital addition to any media lovers Mac accessory collection, but with the addition of an SD card slot to Apple’s MacBook range, the necessity for such a product has been somewhat diminished, particularly for the casual user as nearly all point-and-shoot cameras now use only the SD card format. But for both the professional and hobbyist photographer, the need for a card reader is as prevalent as ever, and in a market saturated with the latest and greatest technological innovations, products really do have to offer some spectacular features to stand out from the crowd. Lexar’s latest and greatest offering does just that, providing one of the largest compatibility ranges for a media reader, as well as playing comfortably with both PCs and iPad’s with the USB camera connection kit.

Wires. Let’s be honest, we all hate them. They get tangled, lie around everywhere and you seem to trip over them wherever they are. For years, we have desperately tried to get rid of them, developing wireless solutions for problems previously only solvable with thick rubber coated copper. But there is one thing that we may always need wires for, power. Whenever we need to charge our cherished gadgets, we have to reach for the nearest cord and USB or power outlet, a small a problem as it may seem, it’s a heck of an annoying one. And that’s where Powermat have stepped with what they view as the solution; wireless charging. But is it really wireless? Well, yes, you won’t be plugging in your gadgets (not all of them anyway), but it’s a far from perfect solution, with bulky cases and in some cases wires taking prime place on your desk.

We can barely go a day without hearing of tomorrows newspapers, magazines and books being delivered to our iPad or e-reader. But, written notes are yet to enter the digital age, that was, until the LiveScribe Smartpen. The technology contained within this miraculous pen really does make your jaw drop. A pen that can track your every move, every note you take, it truly is revolutionary. But is it a revolution that will take the world by storm? Is it something that we need?

Gamers often have the deepest pockets and the biggest drive for the latest and greatest in technology. Because of this, many of today’s best general consumer audio and computer accessories have their roots set in the gaming world. Headsets is probably the area of consumer electronics that is most heavily influenced by its gaming roots. SteelSeries is a deeply set gaming company, with its tagline as “proffesional gaming gear” it makes its intended user base abundantly clear. But the Siberia v2 headset is more than a headset for gamers; its great audio performance, quality microphone, and (with an small addon) iPhone and MacBook compatibility, it is an ideal headset for anyone who owns an Apple product.
