iMainGo 2

One of the annoying little quirks of the iPhone is it’s lack of powerful speakers. The measly noise it creates is easy to miss and almost impossible to share music. That is where the iMainGo 2 has its main market appeal. It is absolutely perfect as a small system to attach to your phone and listen to music with other people. Not only is it loud, but it is excellent audio quality as well. Another great thing about the iMainGo 2 is that it fits your iPhone inside it, providing a simple solution to what was previously a complex problem. The fabric coated design is simple but attractive, and the price makes the device a more than worthy investment for any iPhone owner.

Packaging:
There really isn’t much to be said for the packaging, it is a fairly simple cardboard box with the case simply pulling out of it. Not a particularly exciting unboxing experience, but far less frustrating than many!

Design:
The design of the iMainGo 2 is, as I mentioned earlier, fairly simple, essentially being a fabric coated box. On the front side is a thin plastic coating through which you can control your iPhone and on the other side are the speakers themselves with an attractive glossy black plastic surround. Overall a great design that is not overcomplicated and feels great in your hand

Sound:
This is where the iMainGo 2 really does excel. They boast on their website that the sound produced can rival that of the big, expensive audio companies, and pound for pound, I have no doubt it does. When I first turned the speakers on, I was awestruck by the sheer volume and quality they managed to produce being such a small device. The bass can be a little light on occasion, but that (I assume) is a physically impossibility. Overall, absolutely stunning sound that is truly on par with many of its much much larger brethren.

Final Thoughts:
For a device priced this low, the iMainGo 2’s overall quality is truly astounding. I honestly do recommend this for any iPhone or iPod users who love to listen to their music outside or share it with friends.
