The dock is finished in a soft touch rubber like plastic that looks and feels fantastic and compliments nearly every car interior perfectly. Two thin metallic strips run down the sides of the device and add a real touch of class to the product. Overall, the design of the device is near impeccable, and serves the purpose of the device incredibly well.

The Dension Car Kit works by integrating itself with your car radio through one of two means; either through FM transmission or Auxiliary input. Both of these work extremely well, with the Aux input obviously providing the tightest and best sounding integration, however the FM output is easily the best in class, providing an extremely strong sound that rarely wavers and provides a strong resistance to background noise and inteference. Both of these options provide the capability to listen to music and take phone calls, with the music being paused and continued when a phone call comes in. Power is provided through the car power port through a USB adapter. The overall integration of the dock is a clever and effective one that works almost perfectly.

Without doubt, the Car Kit's most attractive feature is its incomparable functionality. Dension have crafted a product that does nearly everything a full iPhone car integration kit is capable of at a fraction of the price. The device allows you to listen to music through your car stereo, take phone calls with great sound quality, again through your car stereo, as well as providing a easy to use and eye-catching docking system that allows easy access to the iPhone's many features while on the road. Unfortunately, there is no additional Voice command support, relying solely on the Apple provided system in iOS, although in fairness this is a reasonable system, though extended GPS support would not go amiss. The Dension Car Dock is, simply put, best in class.
